Job summary

Ahtna Logistics, LLC in White Sands, NM is seeking a Captain of the Guards to lead the contract security program at the White Sands Missile Range. You will supervise a 26-person security team, ensure daily operations, training, and readiness, and serve as site liaison for the contract.

Responsibilities include staffing, shift scheduling, maintaining records, enforcing compliance with AR 190-56/380-67 and ensuring high readiness against threats, with a duties-focused, full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Minimum 3 years in security or law enforcement administration or operations.
• Experience supervising a comparable civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard force.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance and meet AR 190-56/AR 380-67/AR 600-85 requirements.
• Must be able to qualify with assigned weapons semiannually.

Responsibilities

• Manage the contract guard force to provide facility, grounds, and personnel protection and deterrence, including security systems on site.
• Supervise 26 guards assigned to the WSMR contract and act as primary liaison for the site.
• Coordinate scheduling, records, training, and postings; enforce compliance with contract directives.
