PSI is seeking a part-time Security Police Officer-Captain at the White Sands facility to lead security teams, manage first response to emergencies, and supervise patrols and inspections.

The role requires firearms qualifications, a high school diploma or GED, and active security credentials. Applicants must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and maintain security clearances.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Honorably discharged from the US Armed Forces.
• Meet all firearms qualifications.
• Supervisory experience with security personnel is preferred.
• Experience in making decisions affecting security personnel.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform duties safely.
• Schedule, manage, and supervise security personnel to cover events or emergencies.
• Administer instructions to all security personnel on shift and ensure familiarity with duties.
• Manage staffing to ensure complete coverage of posts and shifts.
• Prepare written reports for site leadership on injuries and incidents.
• Conduct post, vehicle, building, and facility checks and inspections.
• Follow procedures and NASA regulations pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, NASA property and equipment.
