Job summary

Securitas, Inc. is seeking Security Officers for Jefferson City, MO. This role covers full-time and part-time shifts (14:30–22:30 and 22:30–06:30) with a wage of $17.60 per hour.

Officers monitor premises, control access, patrol sites, and enforce regulations while maintaining a safe environment for clients and visitors. Ideal candidates have HS diploma or GED, strong customer service, the ability to work independently, and calm judgment in emergencies.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Security, law enforcement or military experience a plus.
• Must be able to work independently and stay vigilant.
• Able to respond to emergencies with good judgment.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Above average computer/technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises and enforce access control and post orders.
• Conduct routine patrols and report safety issues or hazards.
• Provide customer service and information to employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices during shifts and respond to incidents.
• Identify suspicious activity and de-escalate as needed.
• Meet client site requirements and complete assigned tasks.

Wage:$17.60/HR

Available Shifts:

• 14:30 - 22:30

Our Security Officers help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to theclient's employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct long distance foot patrols of the property (about 7 - 10 miles per shift) which include stairs (long distance patrols can be split up).
• Setting for long periods of time.
• Answering phones.
• Vision phone usage.
• Check in trucks.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Valid Drivers License required.
