Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Patrol in Muncie, IN to safeguard clients across manufacturing and industrial locations. You will provide outstanding customer service, deter incidents with visible patrols, and support site safety with adherence to policies and procedures.

The role offers a part-time schedule (DayTime, Sat 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Sun 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) and an hourly pay rate of $14.46.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot/vehicle patrols to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and medical situations; notify site contacts and responders as needed.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and conditions in clear, accurate reports.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, shipping and receiving locations, offices, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and unusual conditions in clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
