Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol in Marion, IN. You will monitor and patrol manufacturing areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors. This role supports access control and on-site security with a flexible schedule.

Ideal candidates have customer service experience, badge/access control familiarity, and meet age requirements. A background check and drug screening are required by law.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screening will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, offices, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and direct employees and visitors as required.
• Report concerns, equipment issues, and violations with detailed logs and reports.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifications in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and direct employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel according to site requirements.
• Report security-related concerns, equipment issues, and policy violations to appropriate personnel while maintaining detailed activity logs and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
