Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed) in Bristol, IN. You will protect people and property while delivering excellent customer service at a technology-focused site.

This role offers weekend hours (Sat & Sun) with a pay rate of $17.75 per hour. You will perform patrols, monitor access, respond to alarms, and document incidents.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background investigation will be conducted as required by laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks, exterior perimeter, and other assigned areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry, and maintain awareness of restricted areas and sensitive equipment locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, solution-oriented manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to site leadership.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports with a professional presence.

Job Schedule:

• Sat 10:30 AM - 06:30 PM
• Sun 10:30 AM - 06:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks, exterior perimeter, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and maintain awareness of restricted areas and sensitive equipment locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
