Allied Universal in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Security Officer - Weekend Access Control to provide friendly, professional security and access management for transportation locations. This part-time role offers flexible weekend hours and opportunities to contribute to a safe, welcoming environment while delivering excellent customer service.

You will verify credentials, monitor access points, maintain logs, and respond to incidents, supporting a team that values integrity and service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular patrols of access points, parking areas, and perimeter zones to deter unauthorized activity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to transportation personnel, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.


• Monitor and control access at entry points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and driver logs, and directing authorized individuals and vehicles in accordance with site procedures.


• Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering and exiting the transportation location, reporting unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.


• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and emergency response protocols.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
