Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Systems Operator in Whitestown, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate professionally with visitors and team members, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, store associates, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, receiving areas, and other designated entry points; verify credentials and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records as required.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the store, surrounding retail areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Maintain clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and access-related activity to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
