Job summary

Allied Universal in Hanover Township, PA, is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Access Systems to protect clients in food and beverage production and distribution locations. You will monitor access, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while documenting activities with available technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production or distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and requests for assistance to site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exteriors, parking areas, loading docks, and employee entrances to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, delivery traffic, and contractor arrivals; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
• Document patrols, incidents, unusual conditions, and security-related observations in required reports and logs.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

1. Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)

   • Candidates must be informed about the necessity of having prior experience with access control systems and badge management.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior perimeters, parking areas, loading docks, and employee entrances to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, delivery traffic, and contractor arrivals in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
• Document patrols, incidents, unusual conditions, and security-related observations accurately and promptly in required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
