Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Riverhead, NY. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at a designated site with the option to earn more by picking up extra shifts.

As a Security Officer Warehouse Control Access, you will deliver customer service, patrol the site, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and file detailed reports. A HS diploma, background check, and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, members, visitors, and employees while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and notify appropriate contacts.
• Monitor access points and deter unauthorized access and theft.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations to leadership and site management.

As a Security Officer Warehouse Control Access in Riverhead, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 02:15 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to customers, members, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, receiving areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized access, theft, and other policy violations.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
