Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, shipping/receiving zones, entrances, parking, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, maintain logs, and report concerns to leadership.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities in line with procedures.

As a Security Officer Warehouse Area Patrol in Bohemia, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.07 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, shipping and receiving zones, employee entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately in accordance with site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
