Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Melville, NY. The role offers fixed shifts with optional extra shifts to increase earnings, at a pay rate of $17.51 per hour.

You’ll provide site-specific security at a logistics and distribution location, monitoring access and logs, and responding to incidents. This position emphasizes flexible scheduling, opportunities to move toward full-time status, and benefits through Allied Universal.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and driver logs, and help control entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access areas, loading docks, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Complete required reports and documentation related to access activity, incidents, patrols, and other security-related observations.

As a Security Officer Warehouse Area Patrol in MELVILLE, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
