Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer - Visitor Services Desk at a healthcare location in New York. You will greet visitors, verify identifications, control access, and maintain a welcoming, secure environment.

The role offers a flexible schedule (Tue and Thu 4:00 PM–12:00 AM) and access to our Claim a Shift platform, with a pay rate of $19.35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required per federal, state, local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, maintain access records.
• Monitor entry activity, manage visitor flow, communicate directions and visitor requirements professionally.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies; notify appropriate personnel and assist with response procedures.
• Monitor security systems and report unusual activity to site leadership.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.35 / Hour

Job Schedule: Tue: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM; Thur: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access records.
• Monitor entry activity, manage visitor flow, and communicate directions, facility information, and applicable visitor requirements in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and assist with emergency response procedures.
• Monitor security-related systems and communications, document observations and incidents, and report unusual activity to site leadership and/or emergency personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
