Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to support a fast-paced logistics and distribution site in Remington, IN. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, assist with visitor management, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to deter security incidents while delivering professional customer service.

You will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, assist with visitor management, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems as needed. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, drivers, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
