Allied Universal in Remington, IN is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable security coverage with fixed shifts and opportunities to pick up extra shifts. The role offers a pay rate of $15.70 per hour with a six-month anchor shift commitment and a flexible schedule designed for income stability while building experience at multiple sites.

Responsibilities include visitor screening, access control, incident response, and daily patrols to maintain safety and compliance

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points for a logistics and distribution location, verify authorized entry, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
• Help manage vehicle and pedestrian access at gates, docks, and other designated entry areas while directing drivers and visitors to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, access concerns, and property-related issues.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Registration in Remington, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

DayTime Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
