Job Description

As a Security Officer Visitor Access in North Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will greet visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor entry activity, and provide outstanding customer service. Using computer or tablet systems, you will support a welcoming, professional environment while helping to deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $17.37 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a front desk within a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Greet visitors, verify access authorization, manage visitor registration, and direct guests to appropriate contacts or locations.
• Monitor entry points, access-control activity, and front-desk communications; report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Maintain accurate visitor, incident, and shift documentation while providing professional support to the client location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
