Allied Universal in Charleston, SC is seeking a Part-Time Front Desk Security Officer to greet residents and visitors, control access, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while following site policies and security procedures. • Answer phones, provide directions and information, and support a professional, welcoming front-desk experience.
• Observe activity at the front desk and adjacent entry areas, report unusual conditions, and help to deter unauthorized access.

As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal, you will be the welcoming presence at a residential location, supporting access control, visitor management, and badge procedures while providing exceptional customer service. You will monitor entry activity, respond professionally to security-related concerns, and help maintain an inviting environment for residents, guests, and staff. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor and incident records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Answer phones, provide directions and information, and support a professional, welcoming front-desk experience.
• Observe activity at the front desk and adjacent entry areas, report unusual conditions, and help to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
