Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer for a visitor access role in Holly Hill, SC. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and provide excellent customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors at a manufacturing site.

Role requires the ability to maintain logs, monitor activity, and report incidents according to site procedures. Scheduling is part-time with evenings and weekends, offering flexibility and growth opportunities within Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Control entry and exit of vehicles, deliveries, and personnel, reporting unauthorized access attempts, unusual activity, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
