Job summary

Allied Universal in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Armed Security Officer for our Utilities location. This part-time role provides armed protection, customer service to employees and visitors, and a visible security presence to deter incidents.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, Texas Level III Armed Guard Card, and the ability to work a set daytime/evening schedule. You will patrol, monitor access, document activities, and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility customers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, operational areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and vehicle entry requirements in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, observations, and equipment concerns accurately and promptly using required reporting tools.
