Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer - Patrol Operations in San Antonio, TX for a part-time role at a retail location. You will conduct armed patrols, deter theft, and provide customer service while adhering to site-specific procedures.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, a Level III Armed Security License in Texas, being at least 21, and a high school diploma or equivalent; background checks and drug screening apply.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Security License in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
• Respond to incidents, critical situations, and customer concerns in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to location procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter theft, unauthorized activity, and other security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and assist with access control and visitor procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Maintain required armed-post credentials and equipment, follow applicable laws and Allied Universal policies, and complete accurate reports and shift documentation.
