Job summary

Allied Universal, Boston, MA, seeks a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Alarm Response to monitor residential locations, perform patrols, deter incidents, and support access control with on-site technology.

You will deliver excellent customer service to residents and staff, respond to incidents calmly, and adhere to site policies while maintaining safety and privacy standards. Eligibility includes being 18+ and able to lift up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

Job Description As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Alarm Response in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with residents and visitors, and use technology to document security-related observations. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entrances, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, reporting unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
