Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Unarmed Vehicle Driver in Thomasville, NC. You will patrol by vehicle and on foot, deter incidents, and deliver excellent customer service at a retail location.

The role requires a valid driver's license, at least one year of security experience, and a high school diploma. Schedule is Tue-Wed-Thu 12:00 PM–11:00 PM, full-time, pay $17.00 per hour.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Vehicle Driver in Thomasville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal's driver policy. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed: 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support orderly store operations and report observed policy violations or suspicious activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
