Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) for a technology location in Canton, MS. You will monitor access, patrol assigned areas, and provide customer service while upholding safety procedures and reporting incidents.

The position offers weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) with a pay rate of $17.20 per hour. A high school diploma is required and background checks apply.

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials when assigned, and report access concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a positive workplace environment.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.20 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
