Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Control Patrol Driver in Midlothian, VA to serve and safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support access control activities while delivering excellent customer service.

This position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to work a Day/Evening schedule as listed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Background and drug screening may be required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees by following site policies and procedures.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol Driver in Midlothian, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and respond to concerns with integrity, reliability, and teamwork.

Pay Rate: $17.76 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and exterior spaces, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious conditions, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
