Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites you to join as a Security Officer Unarmed Protection Patrol in Jackson, TN. You will patrol, monitor, and deter incidents while delivering customer service in a manufacturing and industrial setting.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $18.14 per hour. You will follow site procedures, complete daily reports, and work a schedule that includes evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting access-control concerns.
• Complete required daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
