Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Property Protection in Corpus Christi, TX. You will patrol commercial properties, deter incidents, and provide a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires a minimum of security experience, ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and comfort using a computer or tablet. This full-time position pays $14.00 per hour with a daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and promptly communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, policy violations, and incidents according to site requirements.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, and maintain professional communication with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
