Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring for a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed position in Corpus Christi, TX. The role provides fixed shift hours with opportunities to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

You will help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for tenants and visitors at a commercial property. The pay rate is $14.00 per hour with a flexible day schedule and anchor shifts, plus the chance to earn more through additional shifts on our scheduling platform.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Security in Corpus Christi, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun07:00 AM - 11:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site policies, and maintain accurate incident, patrol, and shift activity reports.
• Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Possess a guard card or license, preferred.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
