Job summary

Allied Universal, Houston, TX, is hiring a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol) with six months of security experience. You will patrol government facilities, deter incidents, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining reports and logs. Driving roles require a valid license. Shift schedule includes Mon-Thu and Fri/Sat daytime windows.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles)

• Background investigation required by law
• Criminal histories considered per applicable laws
• Drug screen required where permitted by law
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, verifying authorized entry in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete accurate reports, incident documentation, and daily activity logs, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Six Month Experience in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a professional environment through routine observations, reporting, and collaboration with site personnel. Pay Rate: $16.38 / Hour

Job Schedule:
Mon 11:00 AM - 05:30 PM
Thu 09:00 AM - 06:30 PM
Fri 09:00 AM - 05:30 PM
Sat 09:00 AM - 05:30 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
