Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Experienced Unarmed Patrol Driver in Houston, TX. You will perform vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible security presence, and deliver excellent customer service to visitors and staff in a dynamic cultural institution setting.

Position is full time with evening shifts and a pay rate of $13.00 per hour. Responsibilities include incident response, reporting, and ensuring safety at access points and event areas while upholding site policies.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, vendors, and program participants by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and guest concerns in a calm, professional manner, notifying appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of park grounds, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards.
• Monitor access points and event areas; assist with visitor directions, rules compliance, and reporting of suspicious activity.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken per reporting procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, vendors, and program participants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of park grounds, trails, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, public spaces, and event areas; assist with visitor directions, rules compliance, and reporting of suspicious activity or unusual conditions.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
