Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors and entrances.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, violations, hazards, and other security concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while fostering a welcoming environment.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Security Presence in Colonial Heights, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with customers, employees, and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM
• Tue: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM
• Thur: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and other security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while supporting a welcoming environment for customers and associates.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
