Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer in Leesburg, VA to patrol a data center, deter security incidents, and protect clients. You will provide excellent customer service, monitor access, and document activity using on-site technology.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Presence in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control procedures. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and team members, and use technology to document activity. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a data center environment.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including exterior areas, perimeter locations, access points, and equipment areas, while reporting unusual conditions.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while supporting a professional and orderly location.
