Job summary

You will patrol, monitor access, document observations, and respond to incidents using computer or tablet tools. A HS diploma, 18+ years old, background check and drug screen are required; CPR and Guard Card are preferred;

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors and community members following site procedures.
• Be proficient using a computer or tablet to document security-related activities.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles) and possess a HS diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background check as required by law and licensing regulations.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law and licensing rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations and other events calmly and report according to protocols.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas and perimeters to identify unusual activity.
• Monitor access points, greet and direct visitors, assist with orderly entry per site rules.
• Document observations and incidents accurately and communicate with school personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at educational facilities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to assigned locations, greet and direct visitors, and assist with maintaining orderly entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to school personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
