Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a part-time Security Guard Store Lot Unarmed Patrol in Elkton, MD. You will monitor store areas, deter incidents, assist customers and staff, and respond professionally to security concerns.

As a Part Time role, you will work evening shifts and use our shift-claim platform to schedule hours. A guard card and HS diploma are preferred; background checks apply.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 05:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 05:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 05:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 05:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and completed patrols accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and store management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
