Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Route Assessment in Mountain View, CA. The role focuses on patient and visitor support, routine patrols, and prompt incident reporting within a healthcare setting.

You will provide courteous service, maintain safety, and ensure adherence to site procedures while documenting events for leadership. This is a full-time position with a daytime schedule and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a healthcare foundation location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including building interiors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures; report unusual conditions and/or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and maintain professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
