Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Greensboro, NC. You will protect campus clients across a range of settings, deter incidents with a visible presence, and deliver exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher education location, you will monitor assigned areas, communicate clearly, and respond to campus needs following established protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Criminal history considered in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by following security procedures and campus policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical calls, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, damaged property, hazards, and policy violations.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with campus personnel and responding agencies.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical calls, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, damaged property, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus personnel, visitors, and responding public service agencies.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
