Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Unarmed Patrol Post in Cornelia, GA. You will monitor properties, greet staff and visitors, and deter security incidents through visible presence.

The role requires a reliable team player who follows procedures and communicates observations clearly. Pay rate is $21.45 per hour, with a full-time schedule that includes day and night shifts across a multi-day workweek.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer Service Experience – preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21 for armed roles.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to deter unauthorized activity or identify hazards.
• Control access at entrances by verifying identification and documenting visitor entries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating updates to site contacts.
• Complete security-related reports and logs, including incident documentation and shift turnover notes.

What You’ll Do

• Control access at entrances by verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, providing directions, and documenting visitor entries according to location procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating updates to site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Complete security-related reports and logs, including incident documentation, patrol observations, and shift turnover notes, using required systems and/or forms.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer Service Experience – preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
