Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Patrol in Athens, GA. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service in a healthcare setting, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

The role offers flexible scheduling with day shifts on weekends. Prior security experience and CPR are preferred, with background checks and drug screening required where allowed by law.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more security-related experience.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and verify credentials as required.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations per emergency protocols.
• Document observations, patrols, incidents, and violations and communicate with leadership.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols within a healthcare-related location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report access-control concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Document observations, patrol activities, incidents, and/or violations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
