Job summary

Allied Universal in Miami is seeking an unarmed Security Officer to perform perimeter inspections and patrols across a retail and mall environment. You will provide courteous service, deter incidents, and act as a visible security presence while following policy and safety protocols.

You will maintain logs, report incidents, and coordinate with leadership and emergency responders. This is a full-time role based in Florida with a nightly schedule and a pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Criminal history considered in compliance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Perimeter Inspection in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier retail and mall destination, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service to visitors, tenants, and team members. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, shoppers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and common areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information with Allied Universal leadership, property representatives, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
