Job summary

Allied Universal in Miami, FL is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Perimeter Patrol to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and surrounding areas. You will monitor and patrol assigned zones, maintain a visible presence, and deliver excellent customer service.

This unarmed security role requires you to communicate professionally with visitors, tenants, and team members, respond to incidents calmly, and follow site procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and guests by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site leadership.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, property personnel, retailers, and emergency responders as appropriate.
