Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Miami, FL. You will provide security services in an upscale retail and mixed-use environment, patrol assigned areas, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required under federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and guests by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, medical events, and other critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, parking facilities, entry points and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Maintain professional communication with staff, visitors and responders and prepare accurate incident reports.

As an Unarmed Security Officer in a premier retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within an upscale retail and mixed-use environment.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, parking facilities, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with property staff, retail personnel, visitors, and local responders while preparing accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
