Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed Patrol Medical Support) in Houston, TX. You will patrol, deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include monitoring access points, responding to alarms, and documenting actions. Requires 1+ year security experience; background screening and drug testing apply; CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year security-related experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Medical Support in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Tue 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Wed 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Thur 06:00 AM - 10:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial office buildings, parking areas, loading docks, common areas, and the surrounding property perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the property, and assist with directing visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and property representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
