Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Services in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist tenants and visitors with professionalism. You will use clear communication and customer service skills while contributing to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the commercial property, including common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
