Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Houston, TX. You will patrol facilities, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role features a flexible day schedule and the ability to claim shifts via our platform, with a starting pay of $17.04 per hour. Successful candidates will complete required screenings and meet licensing requirements as applicable.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology-focused offices, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
