Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol at a healthcare location in Falls Church, VA.

You will conduct patrols, deter incidents, provide customer service to patients, visitors and staff, and prepare incident reports to ensure a safe and welcoming environment across the site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state and role.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed positions; 21+ for armed positions, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout buildings and parking areas to identify hazards or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions and reporting of unauthorized entry attempts.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate patrol observations to supervision and site representatives.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 01:45 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 01:45 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 01:45 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 01:45 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 01:45 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, access-control procedures, and reporting of unauthorized entry attempts or other security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal supervision and site representatives regarding incidents, patrol observations, and shift activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
