Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driving Role in Saint Helena, CA. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide customer service to students and staff while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid preferred. You will work in a dynamic educational setting, with a schedule that includes overnight shifts and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check to be completed as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and vendors by following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and coordinate with responders as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, parking and grounds to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor entry points and report issues, documenting incidents per site procedures and policies.

Pay Rate: $24.31 / Hour

• Thur: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Fri: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking areas, grounds, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, report maintenance issues or unusual conditions, and document incidents and observations according to site procedures.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly campus environment by providing directions, supporting campus events, and following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
