Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Hixson, TN to safeguard clients across healthcare locations. You will monitor assigned areas, perform vehicle patrols, respond to calls, and maintain high visibility to deter incidents.

Position is full-time with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour. Shifts include days and evenings, offering training, growth opportunities, and competitive benefits through Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, directing foot traffic, and coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and communications equipment, reporting irregular conditions and/or maintenance issues through the appropriate channels.
• Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions to support consistent site operations.

• Have at least 1 years of security-related experience.
• Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be able to restrain individuals as required in a hospital setting.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
