Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Logkeeping in Sterling, VA to monitor banking areas, deter incidents, and provide courteous service to employees, customers, and visitors. The role is full-time with a daytime Mon-Fri schedule and pays $27.27 per hour.

You will complete logs and incident reports, respond to alarms, and uphold site procedures with professionalism and integrity while contributing to a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles.
• Background check conducted per laws.
• Drug screen required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, customers and visitors while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking lots, ATMs and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports and patrol documentation per site requirements.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Logkeeping in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, customers, and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, ATMs, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.


• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.


• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
