Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Readiness in Sandston, VA to safeguard clients across financial institutions and other sites. You will perform regular unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver professional customer service while following established procedures.

The role requires prior security or related experience, a security training background, and adherence to safety and reporting standards.

Qualifications

• Three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or a college degree.
• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess a college degree.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law; drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and employees at a financial institution; follow security procedures and emergency plans.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity per site procedures; assist with access control and visitor direction.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document events.

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Readiness in Sandston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Pay Rate: $23.53 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with access control and visitor direction as assigned.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events according to site requirements.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess a college degree.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
