Allied Universal is seeking an Full Time Unarmed Overnight Patrol Security Officer in University City, Philadelphia, PA. You will protect campus facilities, patrol areas, and provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent must be possessed.
• Background investigation required under federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community by following security procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and campus concerns in a calm, professional manner per reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence-adjacent locations, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor for unusual activity and hazards; promptly report observations to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and campus event coverage while maintaining a professional presence.

As a Full Time Unarmed Overnight Patrol Security Officerin University City, Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a higher education setting. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other members of the campus community by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, campus concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence‑adjacent locations, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor for unusual activity, access concerns, and maintenance‑related hazards, and promptly report observations to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and campus event coverage while maintaining a professional and customer‑focused presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
