Job summary

Allied Universal in Kailua Kona, HI is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to safeguard clients across government facilities. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering professional customer service to visitors, staff, and court personnel.

The schedule runs Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with a pay rate of $24.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• 18 years or older for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, court personnel, attorneys, and the public.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of courthouse grounds, entrances, public areas, corridors, parking areas and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and direct visitors per procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
• Prepare reports and maintain activity logs of patrols and incidents.

You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication to visitors, staff, and court personnel. Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

Pre-Employment Requirement: 21+ Years of Age (C101)

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, court personnel, attorneys, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of courthouse grounds, entrances, public areas, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors in accordance with established entry procedures and posted requirements.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
